English Language Development
At Wilson School District, we are proud to support the diverse linguistic backgrounds of our students through our English Language Development (ELD) Department. Our goal is to ensure that every English learner gains the academic language skills needed to succeed in school—and beyond.
By providing instruction designed to help students develop English listening, speaking, reading, and writing proficiency, we also support their academic achievement across all subject areas.
We work closely with teachers, families, and school staff to create inclusive learning environments that celebrate multiculturalism and empower students to thrive.
Our Services Include:
-
Targeted English language instruction
-
Language assessments and progress monitoring
-
Academic support for core content areas
-
Family engagement and language development resources
-
Professional development for staff to support English learners
For more information or support, please contact our ELD Department.
Together, we are helping every student find their voice—confidently and successfully.
